LearnTronics
Stompbox Enclosures & Pedal-Building Resources
These suppliers may be useful when a LearnTronics project needs a rugged guitar-pedal enclosure,
switches, jacks or related pedal hardware. They are especially relevant to the planned
µ-Amp Classroom Experimenter board and its possible stomp-box enclosure option.
Pedal Enclosures
-
StewMac — Pedal Enclosures
Guitar-oriented pedal enclosures and related pedal-building hardware from Stewart-MacDonald. Useful for comparing enclosure sizes and mechanical layouts for finished guitar-effect projects. -
StompBoxParts — Enclosures
A specialist source for stompbox enclosures and pedal-building parts. Particularly useful when looking for standard enclosure formats, hardware choices and experimenter-friendly pedal packaging.
Why these matter to the µ-Amp project
The larger µ-Amp Experimenter board is being considered as both a classroom trainer and a usable guitar effect. A student could connect a guitar and amplifier with ordinary 1/4-inch instrument cables while working with the board on the bench, then later place the same board in a stompbox-style enclosure for practical use without modifying a guitar.
Enclosure dimensions, control placement, jack locations, battery access and mounting space will therefore become part of the experimenter-board design rather than an afterthought.
